Mortgage Payment Protection - Free Cover for First 6 Months

This policy is the premier mortgage payment protection insurance policy offered by Goodfellows®. It is dubbed the 'diamond' policy because we believe it offers the best combination of flexible mortgage payment cover, lowest premiums and unbeatable features like FREE cover for the first 6 months of the policy.

This policy offers you an unbeatable six months free cover from the start of the policy if you are protecting a new mortgage or re-mortgage.

If you are an existing mortgage holder and are switching your cover from another provider you will received the first three months cover absolutely three of charge (subject to conditions outlined in the Key features page)

If you are taking out the policy to protect an existing mortgage, then subject to the unemployment exclusion detailed below, you will receive the first three months cover completely FREE OF CHARGE.

Mortgage Payment Premiums Comparison

This policy has unbeatable premiums payment protection insurance policies available to UK residents starting at just £3.45 (per £100 of monthly benefit) for unemployment or disability cover. However, if you wish to insure your mortgage against both unemployment and disability the premiums start at £5.50

Mortgage Protection Day One Cover

Not only does this policy have some of the lowest premiums with free cover but it also boasts 'back-to-day-one cover'.

But what exactly is 'back-to-day-one cover'? This means that claims are paid back to the very first day of your claim for benefit after a waiting period of just 60 days.

For example, if you took out this insurance and became disabled and/or unemployed on the 1st of July you would wait until the 31st of July before receiving any benefit but the payment would be for the entire period you are unemployed or disabled from the 1st of June. So effectively you get benefit as soon as you are eligible for a claim.
